Blackberry Storm 2 - A More Secure Answer To The I-Phone

bycoldsteel7 Oct 26, 2010

Pros Great interface, easy to use, sleek, lighweight, fast, good sound quality.
Cons Smudgy touchscreen, reset on me in the middle of a telephone call.
Recommended it? Yes

Because I am not a "tech guy," I lack the knowledge to explain why blackberry phone technology is more secure than the I-phone.  What I do know is that my IT department trusts the Blackberry Enterprise Server and that we have not had any issues (that I know of) regarding this platform. ... BlackBerry Storm 2: Blue Skies for the New Storm? Finally a Good Touch-Screen BlackBerry

bynoangels Nov 5, 2009
25 Helpfuls 26 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Touch screen is very accurate, Wi-Fi, email access, tons of features, mobile browsing
Cons Low battery life, initial software is buggy
Recommended it? Yes

My husband has had a turbulent history with cellular phones. He (admittedly) has never been skilled at choosing cell phones. He averages about one phone per year, often replacing his phones out-of-contract because he dislikes them so much. Two phones were the victims of "accidents," though I'm... Read full review »

So before I mention the STORM 2, let me recap the pros and cons of the original. Major pros offered by the STORM... Read full review »

For the last two years I've owned a BlackBerry 8830 smartphone.  This model was very easy to use, with an excellent keyboard, simple navigation and a wealth of advanced features such as tethered modem (using the phone as a computer modem), Bluetooth and of course the reason for... Blackberry Storm 2 - Nice Phone and Features

bypooker33 Nov 10, 2010

Pros Great phone for someone looking to search on the internet.
Cons Software download is horrible to manage!
Recommended it? Yes

I recently purchased the Blackberry Storm 2 and found that the features of the phone are great. The only problem is like any other internet is that the phone freezes and you have to take the battery out. The other part to that is when you put the battery back in, it takes about 2-4 minutes for the... Read full review »

With the influx of new touchscreen gadgets, you might find yourself drowning in the unlimited possibilities. But if you're looking for a deviant option that's both functional and economical, opt for Research In Motion's BlackBerry Storm 2 9550. It's the latest model of the Storm series, and so far,... I got a chance to have a Blackberry Storm2 for my job and I agreed. The phone I had before was an Android, and i got tired of having it reload the OS and reboot etc... But with the Storm, it is very reliable, okay keyboard, took me a little to get used to but now it is okay, I don't really use the... Read full review »

Cons not itunes compatible

I have owned a blackberry since 2002 and endured all the feature and size changes. I have upgraded for less in the past just too simply get a faster processor or small design. This upgrade is no different but has delivered a better experience when typing a message.

Close to an iPhone killer. I'm blown away.

bymsp1518 Dec 15, 2009
2 Helpfuls 3 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Touch screen software, 3G speed, Small learning curse, huge coverage with Verizon
Cons Browsing not as nice as iPhone, fingerprint magnet, tiny bit clunky in spots
Recommended it? Yes

My wife's iPhone is the coolest thing around, or it had been, until now. Because of AT&T's pathetic coverage I have stayed away from the iPhone, but longed for something similar. The first Blackberry STORM looked like it would be perfect, but early reviews kept me away and we all know it turned out... Read full review »

The Blackberry Storm 2 is a Natural Disaster

byrmb21 Mar 27, 2010
1 Helpfuls 2 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros The Storm2 has a larger screen for viewing internet pages and photos with more detail.
Cons Alot of functional problems with the phone that creates more frustration than a phone...
Recommended it? No

I bought the original Blackberry Storm when it was released a few years  back and love the concept idea of the storm but hated how hard it was to use. Eventually it started having extreme problems and so I traded it in for the new Storm 2, assuming they fixed the problems. At first the Storm 2... Read full review »
